Welcome to the Executive Office of Health and Human Services
The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) was created by Governor Donald Carcieri to facilitate cooperation and coordination among the five state departments that administer Rhode Island's health and social service programs - the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), the Department of Elderly Affairs (DEA), the Rhode Island Department of Health (RI-DOH), the Department of Human Services (DHS), and the Department of Mental Health, Retardation and Hospitals (MHRH).
These departments collectively impact the lives of virtually all Rhode Islanders, providing direct services and benefits to over 300,000 citizens while working to protect the overall health, safety and independence of all Rhode Islanders.
